Percentage

Tretinoin 0.025% Gel is a form of vitamin A that is used to treat acne which appears as spots or pimples on your face, chest, or back. It also helps to smooth rough facial skin and to reduce fine wrinkles on the skin.

Benefits Of Using Menarini Tret 0.025% Gel USP

A-Ret Tretinoin 0.025% Gel reduces excessive oil production of the skin. Ideally, a pinpoint application at nighttime is recommended for the duration prescribed by your doctor.

The amount you need and for how long you need to take it will depend on what you are being treated for. You should normally wash and dry the affected area before applying a thin layer of this medicine. Follow your doctor’s instructions. You should not apply it to damaged or broken skin and avoid contact with your mouth, eyes, and nose.

How to Use for Best Results

1. Start Slowly

Use 2–3 times per week at night for the first 2–4 weeks.

Gradually increase to every other night, then nightly as tolerated.

2. Skin Preparation

Cleanse gently → Use a mild, non-foaming cleanser.

Pat dry → Wait 20–30 minutes after washing to reduce irritation.

3. Application Amount

Use a pea-sized amount for the entire face (not per area).

Dot on forehead, cheeks, chin, and nose, then gently spread.

4. Moisturize

Apply a non-comedogenic moisturizer after tretinoin (or before if you have sensitive skin — “sandwich method”: moisturizer → tretinoin → moisturizer).

5. Sun Protection

Tretinoin makes skin more sensitive to UV damage.

Apply a broad-spectrum SPF 30+ every morning, even indoors near windows.

Avoiding Damage

No harsh scrubs or exfoliants (AHA, BHA, vitamin C) at the same time — alternate nights.

No waxing or harsh hair removal on treated areas.

Avoid mixing with benzoyl peroxide unless advised (it can deactivate tretinoin).

Expect mild irritation (peeling, dryness, redness) in the first 4–6 weeks — this is normal.

If irritation is severe, reduce frequency or use a richer moisturizer.

When Will You See Results?

Acne: 8–12 weeks

Pigmentation: 3–6 months

Anti-aging: 6+ months
